I create graphic novels and illustrate picturebooks. I focus on capturing human gesture, expression, and movement through line drawing, and in my writing I seek intense and weirdly-specific moments of human emotion.
I was the winner of the 2012 Cape/Observer/Comica Graphic Short Story Prize for my comic But I Can’t.
I was nominated for the 2014 British Comic Awards for my self-published graphic novel Breaker’s End.
I also illustrated the critically-acclaimed 2018 graphic novel Grand Theft Horse, written by G. Neri and published by Lee & Low Books.
I was shortlisted for the 2023 First Graphic Novel Award for The Infinite Benefits of Shame.
My latest book is My Antarctica, written by G. Neri and to be published by Candlewick Press in March 2024.
